Luminosity Masks New Tutorial
This is an instructional exercise on Luminosity Masks. Glow Masks permits you to increment or decline lights quietly in parts of the picture, without influencing the rest. The picture that I will use for this instructional exercise is irrelevant. You can utilize it, yet I would propose that you attempt the method with whatever number pictures as could be expected under the circumstances. Step 1 : I have opened this picture in Photoshop. It is a free stock picture and can be found here

Step 2 : There is just the Background Layer in the Layers palette.

Step 15 : Click the Save channel as choice catch. Another Alpha 1 channel frames. 

Step 16 : Rename it as Lights3. 

Step 17 : Press CTRL+D to deselect. 

Step 18 : CTRL+CLICK on Lights 1 channel. 

Step 19 : The Selection returns. 

Step 20 : Press CTRL+SHIFT+I to backwards the determination. 

Step 21 : Press the Save choice as channel catch. Another Alpha 1 channel frames. 

Step 22 : Rename the Alpha1 channel as Darks1. 

Step 23 : The picture resembles this. Take note of that the choice is still set up. 

Step 24 : Press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT and tap on Darks1. 

Step 25 : Photoshop makes a determination of more territories. 

Step 26 : Click on the Save determination as channel. Another Alpha1 channel shapes. 

Step 27 : Rename Alpha1 channel as Darks2. 

Step 28 : Press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT and tap on Darks2 

Step 29 : Photoshop chooses some more dull zones. 

Step 30 : Click on Save choice as channel catch. Another Alpha 1 channel frames. 

Step 31 : Rename Alpha1 channel as Darks3. Press CTRL+D to deselect. There are currently Lights1, 2 and 3 and Darks 1,2 and 3 channels. 

Step 32 : Click on Lights1 channel. 

What I have done is look through the 3 Lights channels and 3 Dark channels I have made to see the diverse ranges chose in each channel. The following strides are not really to be followed in the request I do. It will rely on upon your picture and what number of pictures you apply this strategy to. The more pictures you attempt this on, the better you will have the capacity to get it. 

Step 33 : I have CTRL+CLICKED on Darks3 channel. Give us a chance to see the determination.

Step 40 : Rename the Curves 1 Layer as Darks3, else you will think that its hard to recall which channel you dealt with.

I find that the sky out of sight and the highlights has been chosen by photoshop. 

Step 42 : With the determination still set up, snap back on the Layer palette. Tap on the Adjustment Layer catch. Tap on Curves from the fly up similarly as prior. 

Step 43 : Photoshop names this Adjustment Layer as Curves 1 as we had changed the first Curves 1 layer to Darks3. Tap on the Layer Mask. 

Step 44 : I have dragged the midpoint of askew down in the Curves to obscure the sky and the waters. 

The picture resembles this. The sky and the waters have been obscured without influencing whatever is left of the picture. 

Step 45 : Rename the Layer Lights3. 

Step 46 : CTRL+CLICK on Darks2 divert in the Channels palette. 

Step 47 : Photoshop chooses the face and bits of the body and a touch of the stones. 

Step 48 : Click back on the Layer palette. Tap the Adjustment Layer catch. Tap on Curves. 

Step 49 : Another Curves1 layer frames. Tap the Mask. 

Step 50 : Rename it Darks2 so that there is no disarray. 

Step 51 : Pull up the highlights in the Curves. 

The young lady's face and body get expanded light. The impacts are unobtrusive. 

Step 52 : Drag the shadows down only a fool. 

The stones in the forefront obscure marginally, yet subtle elements can be made out. 

Step 53 : I have expanded the lights only a smidgen by dragging up the inclining somewhat. 

The picture resembles this. 

Step 54 : CTRL+CLICK on Lights2 channel. 

Step 55 : Click back on the Layers palette. 

Step 56 : Click on the Adjustment Layer catch. Tap on Curves. 

Step 57 : Photoshop frames another Curves1 Layer. Rename it Lights2 and tap on the Mask. 

Step 58 : In the Curves tap the midpoint of the corner to corner which is the highlights. Drag the highest point of the inclining to and drag down at the base. 

The completed picture. Note You can make various Lights and Darks channels relying upon your picture.
